…Aaaand the Tariffs are Back On!

Yesterday, the Court of International Trade struck down the recent executive orders establishing tariffs, and struck down the related tariffs. Today, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals issued an immediate administrative stay of the judgments and the permanent injunctions entered by the Court of International
Trade, while the Federal Circuit considered the motions papers. This is a short-term stay while he court considers the more formal motion for a stay.

For distributors considering importing aircraft parts, this means that the Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariffs as well as the Trafficking Tariffs remain in place (for the time being).

The next round of filings are due on June 5 (responding to the U.S. motion for a stay) and then June 9 (U.S. reply). This gives the public some idea about the timing that we can expect on these matters.
